2018 will be our first year of having a Prom King & Queen.  We will take a bit of tradition and add a little homeschool twist to the process.  Here are the details on how King and Queen will be selected:

 

*Only juniors and seniors are eligible to be candidates, but anyone attending prom, regardless of grade level, may make nominations and vote.  If you like, you may even nominate yourself. You do NOT have to be a GHE member to nominate, accept a nomination, or vote.

 

*Everyone who has purchased a ticket will be notified when nominations can begin, and directed to where they may nominate someone. 

 

*Nominations and voting will be done online.  Once nominations are closed, and all nominees have been notified that they were nominated, they will choose whether or not they wish to participate. 

 

*At this point, the ballot will be published and voting will begin.  Voting will close on Wednesday, May 2nd.

*Each nominee will have their name placed into a hat the same number of times as the number of votes they received, i.e., if someone receives seven votes, their name goes in seven times.  During prom, the winners will be drawn and they will be crowned as Prom King and Queen.
